The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) — formerly known as RCIA — is the process through which adults and older youth are invited to explore the Catholic faith and prepare to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist.
Whether you're unbaptized, baptized in another Christian tradition, or baptized Catholic but have not received all the sacraments, OCIA is a journey of prayer, learning, and community that leads to full communion with the Catholic Church.
Adults and older children over the age of 7 who have never been baptized
Christians baptized in another faith tradition who wish to become Catholic
Baptized Catholics who have not received First Communion or Confirmation
OCIA is not a class—it’s a faith journey. Through weekly gatherings, you'll:
Learn about Catholic beliefs, sacraments, and way of life
Reflect on Scripture and how it applies to your life
Ask questions and grow in your relationship with God
Be supported by a sponsor, your fellow participants, and the parish community
Sessions Begin: in the fall
Meetings take place in the Fr. Murtagh Gathering Hall
On Tuesdays at 7:00 pm
If you're considering taking this step or just want to learn more, we invite you to come and see what it's all about.
